Steve combines extensive commercial and 'real world' management experience with significant credentials as a developer.
His commercial experience draws on 20 years in the financial services sector, including general and senior management roles in retail and corporate banking, spanning operational, human resource and head office environments. Through his experience in these environments Steve developed and honed his own leadership and influencing styles, balancing the demands of task and people development and navigating projects through highly politicised organisations.
Between 1997 and 2008 Steve worked for Roffey Park Institute, one of the UK's leading Leadership and Management centres where he worked with individuals, teams and management groups at every level from 'new manager' to senior executive. He is a long standing faculty member of Roffey Park’s renowned MSc in People and Organisational Development. Latterly he line managed Roffey’s consultant team and, as Director of Bespoke Services, oversaw the growth of Institute’s bespoke portfolio by 37%.
As a developer he has experience in Public, Private and Not for Profit organisations within the UK, and on a pan-European and Global basis.
He holds an MA in Management Learning (Lancaster University), is MCIPD qualified, an NLP Master Practitioner, trained in Transactional Analysis, and is qualified to use various psychometric instruments. He has also completed ICF Coaching accreditation.
