Martin is an organisational consultant, facilitator and coach. Between 2005 and 2009, he was a Senior Consultant at Roffey Park Institute, before which he was Director of Strategic Planning and Operations at London Business School. He has worked with leaders across a wide range of sectors, helping them become more influential and powerful in their roles by building presence and impact, managing their mood more effectively and developing more effective relationships.
Martin combines a strong leadership background with specific expertise in Personal Effectiveness, Organisational Development and Change. At Roffey Park he was Director of their Organisational Development Practitioners Programme, and delivered a large number their public programmes on Leadership, Personal Effectiveness and Interpersonal Relationships. Current and recent clients include Lloyds Banking Group, Cairn Energy, Yorkshire & Humber Strategic Health Authority, Norfolk County Council, Bristol University and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. An experienced facilitator, he has worked with top teams and Boards, developing strategy and building team effectiveness.
Martin operates from the belief that we see the world as we are, not as it is. Who we are as leaders is therefore as important to him as what we can do, and his work is characterised by the equal emphasis it places on both. His approach is to offer a mix of challenging interventions to help clients see themselves more clearly, while creating an environment that is supportive, caring and safe.
Martin is certified as a Somatic Coach with Strozzi Institute, holds an MBA from London Business School and a Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s College. His early career was in opera and he has a first degree in Classics from Oxford University.
